Rapper Talib Kweli Nearly Walks Out of CNN Interview Over Ferguson Coverage

In an interview with CNN’s Don Lemon on Thursday, rapper and activist Talib Kweli argued with the journalist over media coverage of the Ferguson protests, as tensions continue to mount.
Kweli has been in Ferguson over the past week after a white police officer shot unarmed black teenager Michael Brown on Aug. 9. Brown, 18, was shot six times, according to a private autopsy.
Brown’s death has precipitated daily protests along W. Florissant Avenue — protests in which Kweli has decided to participate due to his belief that the media is misrepresenting demonstrators in Ferugson“I felt like it was important for me to be here, and control the narrative because the media has been doing a horrible job of making sure that the stories get out in the right way,” Kweli said in his CNN interview. …
