The acquisition of Saya’s technology, workforce and Intellectual Property, which will now work on Kirusa’s mobile applications will allow the company provide
InstaVoice mobile apps across the continent.
Incubated at the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology three years ago, Saya provides cheap innovative messaging applications for people without Smartphone in emerging markets. It has received wide exposure for its real-time “Street Chat” messaging application.
Saya is presently used in more than 35 countries globally with its biggest markets including Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, India, and Indonesia.
CEO of Saya Robert Lamptey said Saya was launched with the aim creating a world class product made by Africans, for Africans.
“Joining forces with Kirusa is a natural and exciting next step for our team,” Lamptey said.
Saya has been focused on its goal of placing its real-time messaging app into the hands of people, while empowering millions of mobile subscribers, noted Lamptey, who added that, “We look forward to realizing this vision together with Kirusa.”
Kirusa presently serve over 80 million people across four continents through its innovative social media apps and voice messaging like Sports Connect, Celeb Connect and InstaVoice.
