Dubbed “Phatisa IRR Calculator app”, the app helps expects calculate financial indicators promptly to enable swift and accurate investment deicisions.
According to Stuart Bradley, a senior partner at Phatisa, the app will not replace detailed financial model required for investment evaluations but rather could be used as a quick check during negotiations with potential investee companies, during internal deal team discussions or while on the go.
The Phatisa IRR Calculator app has three variables – investment time period (calculated in years), times money back multiple (such as three times the initial investment) and a resultant internal rate of return – in which any of the two variables can be used to calculate the internal rate of return (IRR) to get the unknown parameter.
The app also has a news feed on African equity markets, a live feed exchange rate of major global and African countries as well as a daily-updated agri-commodity price feature.
Bradley says this could help investors scale the price they are willing to put in for an investment.
The app is currently available on Apple and android devices.
